Starbucks Teavana Handcrafted Beverages

As a fan of all things caffeinated, I love Starbucks and their many coffee and tea drinks. I am especially excited whenever they have something new in their menu. The teasers about Teavana on social media made me so excited like a kid. After seeing the teasers, I am super happy that the Starbucks Teavana Handcrafted Beverages and Starbucks Teavana Full Leaf Tea Sachets are now available from all Starbucks Philippines stores. More important to note is that these are now part of Starbucks core menu all over China and the Asia Pacific Region.

So yey! New, better, and more tea options for us from Starbucks.

Iced Shaken Starbucks Teavana Handcrafted Beverages

It’s been a hot and not so rainy season in Davao, so I was interested in trying the Iced Shaken Starbucks Teavana Handcrafted Beverages. Plus, the fruity flavors it comes in are flavors I already love. Who doesn’t like delightfully bitter grapefruit and tarty pomegranate, after all?

My friend Mae agreed to try out one flavor while I tried another. Thanks, Mae! Note that even if we both vowed to avoid ordering Venti drinks, we both did. And we both did not regret it at all.

We both like the Starbucks Iced Shaken Black Tea with Ruby Grapefruit and Honey.

It is refreshing, sweet with just the right amount of bitterness and a hint of sour. The taste is subtle, not overwhelming at all. The tea taste is obvious but not too much. This is something that even those who are not so much into tea would appreciate. This is an iced black tea that anybody can appreciate. Starbucks should definitely have this in their menu FOREVER.

I also like the Starbucks Iced Shaken Hibiscus Tea with Pomegranate Pearls.

The hibiscus tea is fragrantly delicious. However, the pomegranate pearls might be off putting for some. Mae doesn’t like chewing on stuff while drinking tea so she didn’t like this one. I did. The pomegranate pearls is a pop of nice tarty surprise which blended with the subtle hibiscus tea flavor. This is something I will order again. Writing about it actually makes me crave for it.

Starbucks Teavana Handcrafted Matcha Beverages

Also in the Teavana Handcrafted Beverages Menu are two matcha drinks for matcha lovers. For the record, I love matcha-flavored food but I do not like matcha drinks at all. I just don’t. Don’t ask me why.

Anyway, Starbucks has concocted two Matcha Handcrafted Beverages, the Starbucks Iced Espresso and Matcha Fusion and the only hot beverage in the menu Starbucks Hot Espresso and Matcha Fusion.

I have not tried these two but I might soon. How about you? Have you tried these matcha drinks? Let me know if you have and tell me if you like it.

I hope Starbucks will come up with more Teavana Handcrafted Beverages in the future. Meanwhile, try these four. Each one is unique, refreshing, caffeinated (YEY!) with the right punch of flavor.
