A lot of people complained about my Asus ZenFone Live L1 Unboxing video and blog post. Comments said I did not really share much about the ZenFone Live L1. Understandably so. They are not totally wrong. Just to clarify, I am not completely incompetent but those were simply unboxing features because here it is. I was scheduled to post this because, of course, I cannot share much about the gadget if I have never even used it. Enough with the babble, here are the Asus ZenFone Live L1 Features that I love.
First off, the most important thing to note (and love) about the ZenFone Live L1 is its price. This new gadget from Asus has a suggested retail price (SRP) of only Php5,995. And it is not just some cheap chunky smartphone with just minimal specs.
Sleek Design
The ZenFone Live L1 is sleek. It is a bit bigger than the first ZenFone Live but it is smaller and more lightweight that most other ZenFone models, not to mention most other smartphones in the same price range. It measures only 147.26 mm X 71.77mm X 8.15mm. Though it might seem quite small, it has an 5.5 inch HD+ screen in a 18:9 ratio providing an immersive full view.
So yes, watching my favorite videos on Youtube, Netflix, iWant TV, or even Facebook is extra enjoyable.
Asus ZenFone Live L1 Cameras
And the bigger screen display does not go to waste because the Live L1 also comes with 2 impressive cameras. It has a shard 13 MP rear camera with a 0.3 seconds focusing system. You get crisp photos and good quality high definition videos in 30fps.
In photo mode, you can shoot in 18:9, 16:9, 4:3, and 1:1. Whatever you like. The 1:1 option is really helpful for posting on Instagram and the 4:3 is perfect for photos to be uploaded on Facebook.
And when shooting videos, you can choose to shoot in any of three resolutions. The best one is Full HD 1920 X 1080. You can also shoot in High Definition 1280 X 720 and in TV 640 X 480. Personally, I prefer the FHD format for vlogging purposes, of course.
It also has a 5 MP front camera that can also shoot in 18:9, 1:1, 16:9, and 4:3. I suggest using the 16:9 with 4MP resolution for a nice groufie shot with your friends. For a selfie, you can use the 1:1 or 4:3 options.
Both cameras are PixelMaster cameras.
Triple Slot Tray
Being a multi-tasker also means maintaining more than one number. I have several, to be honest, but I really only need 2. I have my main Smart number for everything and a backup SmartBro LTE Sim. So if you know me and you get confused that I sometimes receive and send calls and messages from different numbers, now you know.
The dual SIM capability is especially helpful for those who have different numbers for their professional and for their personal lives. Or for those with different businesses or jobs.
Anyway, Live L1’s triple slot tray is something I love. I maximized this feature on my Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie and I am maximizing it now on the ZenFone Live L1.
By the way, let me correct what I said on my Unboxing video. The two slots are for nano SIMs and the third slot is for a microSD card. Apologies and shoutout to the viewer who called me out. LOL! Pasensya na po.
The feature that I would love to love but have not tried yet is the micro SD slot’s capability to support a micro SD of up to 2 TB. Guys, serious, if you know where I can get a 2 TB micro SD card, LET ME KNOW. Comment down below.
So far I have tried using a 32 GB micro SD card along with the 2 SIMs and it all works perfectly.
3000 mAh
Of course, your smartphone is kinda useless and annoying to use if it not packed with a powerful battery. The new Asus ZenFone Live L1 has a 3000 mAh battery and can last up to 28 days on standby. But who buys a gadget and just puts it on standby, right?
Safe to say, with camera use and with 4G internet turned on with sound notifications, I only needed to charge the unit after one full day or 8 hours. So you do not really have to worry about bringing a powerbank and a cable when you are out with your Live L1.
Anything negative about the Live L1?
If there is anything I would recommend for the next ZenFone Live smartphone it would be a better front camera for a better live streaming experience.
I would also love a fingerprint unlocking feature. It’s just really something I have gotten used to with my ZenFone 4 Selfie. The ZenFone Live L1’s Face Unlock feature is cool and exciting but it does not work is there is poor lighting. You can still unlock the phone, though, through other screen unlocking features.
Aside from those, I am satisfied with the ZenFone Live L1.
Do I Recommend the Asus ZenFone Live L1
The most important question people ask is, of course, should they buy the Asus ZenFone Live L1? My answer is yes. Ever since I lay my hands on my first Asus ZenFone unit, I have never been disappointed. The word I would use to describe the entire brand is reliable.
The ZenFone Live L1 is a reliable phone and offers great value for your money. At only PhP5,995 you get a sleek design that you could mistake for a high end phone. It comes with great PixelMaster cameras great for snapping your important memories. It can be even be a great vlogging phone. Will definitely try using this phone for video blogging soon. And it has a convenient triple slot tray, perfect for multi-taskers. And all these features are boosted by the unit’s 3000 mAh battery.
It is the perfect phone to give to tweeners and teenagers, especially budding vloggers. And of course, the Live L1 is also the perfect smartphone for professionals and entrepreneurs who need a reliable smartphone to bring and use day to night.
The Live L1 is now available nationwide so grab yourself this sleek and reliable ZenFone now.
