I have a new daily driver. For weeks now, I have been using the realme 13 and I am happy with its reliability. Here are the 5 Top Features of the realme 13 that make it a reliable daily driver smartphone.

All in all the realme 13 is a handy, reliable phone that is great for both gaming and productivity. I want to specifically highlight these 5 features:

GT Mode

I use the realme 13 for 2 things: gaming and productivity. The realme 13 is a great gaming device with its GT Mode. The GT Mode uses the phone’s resources and focuses them on the game (or app) being played to avoid lagging. It results to a smooth and hassl-free gaming experience.

Among the games I have played with the realme 13 are Honor of Kings, Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB), Pokemon Go, NCT Zone, and Candy Crush.

One of the problems I have previously encountered when playing Pokemon Go is how the signal or connection is incosistent or unreliable while playing outside or while traveling. With GT Mode and the 5G connection of realme 13, I have not really had this problem while playing Pokemon Go.

I have also tried the GT Mode while using the device for image editing and social media tasks and it has made working easier and quicker. No apps suddenly crashing or lagging. I have experienced slow loading with Lightroon when using other devices. But not with the realme 13. I am also starting to edit a few videos with Capcut on the unit and I have not encountered any problems yet.

Vapor Cooling System

One of the problems I have encountered while playing MLBB is overheating. After a few games, the device gets uncomfortably heated. Overheating also happens when I continue to play games while the unit is charging. This is not safe or comfortable to continue gaming. Which is sad especially when I am having a winning streak and want to take advantage of the momentum.

The realme 13 has a vapor cooling system. And so far, this has been helpful in that the device has not been heating up. I have tried playing multiple games continuously for about an hour or so and it has not overheated. Similarly, it does not overheat even when I work on my social media tasks for several hours.

Storage and Memory

Since I use the gadget for both gaming and productivity, it helps that it has a large capacity storage. I often download materials (images, files, etc) to the gadget and run multiple apps at the same time. I have the usual Google apps including Drive, Translate, Docs, Sheet, and Slides. Plus, Lightroom, WordPress, and multiple social media apps. At any given time, I am using 3 or more of these apps for my work tasks. And the device works efficiently without any lagging or any of the apps crashing.

I don’t think I have to worry about using up the 256GB ROM for quite a while. It will probably be enough to for a year’s worth of photos, videos, and documents. Plus, apps.

Battery Life

All those features and functionalities are rendered useless if the device easily uses up the device’s battery. I have tried using the realme 13 continuously for games, social media, and some image editing while I was out for about 8 hours. I went out with about 90% battery life. Played Pokemon Go and NCT Zone. Used Google Maps, social media apps. Edited a few images on Lightroom. And used a few other apps. And I did not have to charge the device until I went home. It had about 12% battery life left. Should I do a video blog about it? Maybe I should.

real Essentials

Finally, I still enjoy and like the real essentials functions of the realme 13. I have previously discussed the real Essentials with the realme C65. These features may be minor or insignificant for some people but to me, they make using the realme 13 more convenient and hassle-free.

The feature I appreciate most is the Rainwater Smart Touch. I can use it even when I am sweaty while working out or even when some water splashes on it while cooking in the kitchen.

The Dynamic Button help make multitasking easier. The Air Gestures still take a bit of getting used to but I have been using it a lot while going through Tiktok, FB Reels, and even Youtube.
