I have been meaning to buy loose-leaf tea and diversify my (caffeinated) beverage options at home. I finally got myself a Loose Leaf Starter Kit from Natures Apothecary. And then some.
What’s in the Natures Apothecary Starter Kit
The kit includes 10 small packs of loose leaf teas:
- Forest Pearl Green Tea
- Sencha Green Tea
- English Breakfast Black Tea
- Keemun Black Tea
- Gaia’s Garden Oolong Tea
- Hibiscus Dazzler Blend Tea
- Jasmine Flower Buds
- Blue Butterfly Pea
- Rose Buds
- Mint Tea
- Tea Scoop
- Basket Infuser

I decided on getting this kit because I wanted to have a variety of loose-leaf teas to try. Plus, it had a scoop and a basket infuser already. For P995, I consider this kit a great value for my money.

Among loose-leaf teas I tried from this kit, my favorites are definitely the mint tea and the hibiscus. And generally speaking, I like the black and green teas, as well as the oolong tea.
What I did not like are the Jasmine and Rose Buds. They are too floral for me. But combined with mint, they were both ok. So totally not a waste, in my opinion.
Will I repurchase the kit? Probably, to gift but not for myself anymore. I will just buy packs of the tea I like.
But again, yes, this is a great buy for somebody who wants to get into loose-leaf teas but not quite sure yet what they like.

More Nature’s Apothecary Kits
Aside from the Starter Kit, I also got the Sleeping Bundle and the Aid in Digestion Bundle.

The Sleeping Bundle includes Blue Butterfly Pea, Chamomile, and Jasmine Buds. My favorite is the Chamomile and I plan to get more of it.
Meanwhile, the Aid in Digestion includes Salabat Plus, Hibiscus, and Mint. This is my favorite bundle. The Salabat is not new to me so I also enjoyed that one.

If you know local shops that sell loose leaf tea, let me know. I want to try more loose leaf teas.
Before becoming a coffee girly, I used to be a tea drinker. Unfortunately, we do not have many tea rooms in Davao that offer loose-leaf tea, if there is any at all. Direct me to one if you know one.
