It’s that time of the year again. Time for MYOH Davao 2016! MYOH stands for Make Your Own Havaianas.
Once a year, Havaianaticos get the chance to design their own Havaianas. And yup, thanks to Havaianas Philippines and Martish Marketing, I get the chance to be one of the first to create my own Havaianas in Davao this year.
Check out the kawaii invite I got.
Yup, yup. This year’s MYOH is Japanese-themed. It is inspired from the Japanese Zori thong sandals. This year’s commemorative soles and pins are all inspired from all things Japan. The commemorative soles have a Shibori pattern, available in top and slim. And there are super kawaii pins that reflect everything there is to love about the land of the rising sun.
Check out my dream MYOH 2016 Flip-Flops:
It is a slim Shibori sole with metallic pink straps and too cute for words commemorative Japan pins. On the right side are delicious Japanese stuff: sushi, ramen, and Japanese beer. One the left side are a pretty Japanese girl, a Japanese fan, and the beautiful but elusive sakura cherry blossom.
I only buy shoes when I see a pair I really want or find one that fits a specific reason. Or when there’s a super shoe sale. So when I was given the chance to choose my pair of Flossy Plimsolls from the newly opened Flossy Abreeza Store, I was quite overwhelmed. Christmas came early and my feet got excited.
Flossy plimsolls are akin to sneakers with a canvass body and rubber soles. I got my first Flossys as a gift from the Chimes Boutiques and the Primer Group a few months ago. Though sneakers (especially not a white lacey one) is not my style, I found ways to wear my Flossys since it was so pretty and so comfy.
Pretty, right? Luckily, this was given to me and I didn’t have to undergo the dilemma of choosing a pair.
So I was overwhelmed when faced with this…
So many gorgeous plimsolls, so little time. I zeroed in on one part of the wall because it contained the shiny, shimmering Flossys.
I went to Make Your Own Havaianas 2015 Davao and I got my first pair of Commemorative MYOH soles. Now I can wear Hawaii on my feet.
I have been to several MYOH events over the years but this is the first time that I fell in love with the Commemorative MYOH soles. So this year, I decided that I’d get a new pair of Havaianas with the MYOH 2015 Commemorative Soles which has a Hawaiian theme. LOOKIE!
As always, I picked a slim sole rather than a top sole. I like Havaianas slim better as it helps slim down my chubby feet. It is also more feminine and would match most of my wardrobe. After picking my MYOH soles, I asked the MYOH girl to show me the metallic slim straps available.
I was tempted to go a bit boring (as I always do) and just pair the soles with Silver or Steel Grey straps. But I decided to go for something more feminine and fit for a Diyosa. So I picked Metallic Pink to match my Rose Gold phone. Continue reading MYOH 2015: Hawaii on my Feet→
