Mocha Makeup Look

Hello, there! Will be sharing some of my favorite makeup looks. These will be from my video shoots and other random shoots I do. Starting off with my look on my latest Youtube channel video. Check out how I achieved a neutral, glowing Mocha Makeup Look for my First Kpop Album Unboxing.

Mocha Makeup Look

I almost never plan out my makeup looks. I usually choose a general look and randomly choose the products that would make me achieve that look. More often than not, I center my look on the lipstick I want to use that day. Or around one specific product I want to use that time.

Admittedly, while I have too many makeup products, I often use the same products over and over again. I have not been able to organize my beauty products so I tend to pick up and use what is near me.

I try to support and buy local brands, so do expect a lot of local brands to be featured in this makeup look and in future makeup looks.

Here are the products I used for this neutral, glowing makeup look.

Mocha Makeup Look Products

Skincare and Prep

First, I start with proper skincare. On days I want to look glowing and dewy, I skip the toner and go for the Luxe Organix Aloe Vera Water Spray.

I use the My Skin Origins Stay Serum to moisturize my face and to keep it supple and glowing. The My Skin Origins Breathe Day Cream is my daily sun protection product. It also acts as my makeup base.

Foundation and Concealer

Currently, my favorite foundation is the Ever Bilena All Day Liquid Foundation.

This was highly recommended by Pau of Pam for the Glam. Most of the liquid foundation products I own and use have a matte finish. But right now, I want to consistently do dewy makeup looks that look like I have nicely moisturized glass skin. The Ever Bilena Liquid Foundation is perfect for this. And it is super affordable. I use the Oriental shade, which is a bit darker than my skintone, but I find that I could just blend it out because I love how it suits my yellow undertone.

The concealer I use is the Clio Kill Cover. It is one of the few non-local products I use and recommend. I apply this under my eyes and on areas I want to highlight.

If anybody has any recommendation for a nice concealer with a yellow undertone for light (almost pale) skintone, let me know.

I set my foundation and concealer with the Pink Sugar Matte Finish Face Powder in Natural Ochre.

Glow

For a tinge of color, I used a pink liquid blush on the apples of my cheeks. I used a very little amount, just so my mocha makeup look would not look too brown. For this, I used the Colourette Colourtint in Cali.

I would not be me if I did not use a ton load of highlighters. For this look, I used the Thrive Causemetics Brilliant Eye Brightener in Stella. I used this product to highlight the undereye area. For the cheekbones, nose, and elsewhere I wanted to highlight, I used the Tony Moly Crystal Lace Blusher (04). And to intensify the glow, I also used the Colourpop x My Little Pony Pressed Powder Highlighter in Starflower. I featured the COlourpop

Eye Makeup

As eye makeup base, I dabbed a bit of Hailey Organics Multi-Cream Blush Dusty Rose on my lids. I then swept a shade of sparkly brown eyeshadow from the Kathleen Lights x Morphe Palette. I used light shimmer shadow from the same palette to highlight my brow bone and inner eye corner.

For my brows, I just brushed it and applied my favorite blk Cosmetics Browcara in Taupe. Gah. Still need to constantly practice working on my brows. Leave me your killer kilay tips.

EB Advance Neutral Mocha Lipstick

To complete the look, I used the EB Advance Neutral Mocha Lip Define Matte Matic Lipstick.

I super love Ever Bilena products. This matte lippie has a good neutral brown shade with great color payoff. It suits me day and night. It lasts on the lips (unless I eat carelessly).

The best thing about this is how affordable this is. The SRP is only PhP180. Buy one via the Ever Bilena Store at the Shopee Mall at this LINK.

To finish my look, I set everything with the Luxe Organix Beauty Mist by Anne Clutz.

Unboxing Video with Mocha Makeup Look

The Neutral Mocha Makeup look is my makeup look for my First Kpop Album Unboxing Video featuring Atlantis by SHINee.

What do you think about how it turned out? I feel like this look is quite ok, considering I did not plan it out. It is subdued and neutral but not too flat or boring. Yes, I do acknowledge I need more practice for cleaner and more exciting makeup looks. I really, really need to practice doing my brows.
